The Hive (EU) — is it up right now?

The Hive's European node in France, instead of letting DNS choose I've been pinging fr.hivebedrock.network every ten minutes since August 11, so everything below is something I measured, not something they told me.

Paste it exactly as it is — no http:// in front. Phones like to add one; Minecraft answers “Invalid server address” to it. Minecraft also asks for a Server Name: that is only a label in your own list, so type anything — “The Hive (EU)” does fine.

• It's busiest around 19:00 UTC and quietest around 06:00 UTC.
• It answered 99.9% of my checks over a week.
• The longest it stayed down in one go was 10 minutes, on August 17.
• The most I've ever seen there is 26,262 players, on August 16.

How to join from your phone

1. Copy the address above.
2. Open Minecraft, tap Play, then the Servers tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Add Server.
4. Name it anything, paste fr.hivebedrock.network as the address, port 19132.
