Free Bedrock servers › Purple Prison

Purple Prison — is it up right now?

Prison ranks with mining, PvP warps and a player economy; 1.7-1.21 clients. I've been pinging purpleprison.net:25565 every ten minutes since October 11, so everything below is something I measured, not something they told me.

Paste it exactly as it is — no http:// in front. Phones like to add one; Minecraft answers “Invalid server address” to it. Minecraft also asks for a Server Name: that is only a label in your own list, so type anything — “Purple Prison” does fine.

What I actually know

• 534 people are playing there right now.
• It's busiest around 18:00 UTC and quietest around 06:00 UTC.
• It answered 99.3% of my checks over a week.
• The longest it stayed down in one go was 70 minutes, on October 21.
• The most I've ever seen there is 67,676,767 players, on October 21.

When people actually play there

Average players by hour, over the last 14 days. Times are UTC.

How to join from your phone

1. Copy the address above.
2. Open Minecraft, tap Play, then the Servers tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Add Server.
4. Name it anything, paste purpleprison.net as the address, port 25565.

Note the port — 25565, not the usual 19132. Miss it and the server just won't show up.

In short

• Free to join. All you need is Minecraft itself.
• Modes: prison, economy, PvP.
• Chat there is mostly in English.
• The server itself sits in North America.

Others a bit like it

This server isn't mine — I only list it, and its chat, rules and staff are its own. What I can vouch for is the measuring: one packet every ten minutes, and if it goes quiet for half an hour it drops off the list by itself.
