Vortex Network — is it up right now?

Space-themed network with prison, skyblock, survival and a Pixelmon world. I've been pinging mc.vortexnetwork.net every ten minutes since October 11, so everything below is something I measured, not something they told me.

Paste it exactly as it is — no http:// in front. Phones like to add one; Minecraft answers “Invalid server address” to it. Minecraft also asks for a Server Name: that is only a label in your own list, so type anything — “Vortex Network” does fine.

What I actually know

• 1,609 people are playing there right now.
• It's busiest around 18:00 UTC and quietest around 07:00 UTC.
• It answered 99.7% of my checks over a week.
• The longest it stayed down in one go was 10 minutes, on October 17.
• The most I've ever seen there is 2,021 players, on October 11.

When people actually play there

Average players by hour, over the last 14 days. Times are UTC.

In short

• Free to join. All you need is Minecraft itself.
• Modes: prison, skyblock, survival.
• Chat there is mostly in English.
• The server itself sits in Europe.

Others a bit like it

• DonutSMP 34,693 online
• DonutSMP 34,667 online
• Hypixel 32,712 online
• The Hive (NA) 18,967 online
• The Hive 18,950 online

This server isn't mine — I only list it, and its chat, rules and staff are its own. What I can vouch for is the measuring: one packet every ten minutes, and if it goes quiet for half an hour it drops off the list by itself.
